Fight Mechanics
Ramuh’s main cast that reoccurs throughout the fight. Whenever Fury’s Bolt is cast, Ramuh gain’s a stack of Fury Bolt. This stack increases either the damage or the range of the next lightning-aspected ability. Players need to acquire a stack of Surge Protection to survive the mechanic from the orbs that spawn around the arena. Fury’s Bolt will remove one Surge Protection stack.
Raidwide damage attack dealing moderate damage. This spawns orbs around the arena that provide players with a stack of Surge Protection. Picking up more than three stacks will cause the player to acquire {!Static Condensation}, reducing incoming healing.
Lightning Gungnirs staves appear on four inner intercardinals of the arena. One of these staves will be shorter than the others. This indicates which corner is the safe one to live through Judgement Jolt.
Fury’s Fourteen: Ramuh summons fourteen Stratospears in a line on the east and west sides of the arena. Ramuh moves to the middle of either the north or south edge, and all enemies will charge across.
The Raiden monster appears and tethers to the player with the most Surge Protection stacks. This monster is unable to be targeted and repeatedly damages the tethered player. If Raiden touches the tethered player, it instantly kills them. Raiden deals a heavy magical tank buster and will disappear after five hits.
A tank buster on the player tanking the boss. Deals moderate physical damage.
A two-part mechanic affecting four players each:
- The four players farthest from the boss will be targeted with a purple Stormcloud. This drops a cloud on their location that repeatedly casts a small AOE.
- The four players closest to the boss will be targeted with a small prey marker. This marker gives them a debuff that will inflict paralysis and deal light damage if not removed. Players remove this debuff by being hit by the AOE cast by the stormclouds dropped by the four farthest players.
Ramuh repositions himself in the middle of the arena and casts a knockback attack. Players should use
Mounted adds appear on the edges of the arena in conjunction with Fury’s Fourteen. Ramuh will charge through one side of the middle of the arena, and the adds will charge across east or west, leaving one lateral “lane” of the arena safe. 14 staves will appear in the middle of the arena. All players except the main tank must line up in front of the staves on the side of the arena safe from Ramuh’s north/south charge. His charge will knock players into the staves, forcing them to break and reduce the size of their AOE. Players must then move to the “safe” lane designated by the east/west adds before they charge. If Ramuh has Fury’s Bolt swirling around him, players must acquire a stack of {!Surge Protection} before lining up in front of the stacks.
- If Fury’s Bolt is present, players must stand close to the knockback line, as the knockback will knock players far.
- If no Fury’s Bolt is present, players must stand slightly farther from the knockback in order to not get knocked into the path of a charging adds.
Random AOEs are cast on to the ground. The four DPS or the four tanks and healers are marked with Volt Strike, a small AOE that will damage around them and cannot be overlapped. Players must grab at least one stack of {!Surge Protection} for this attack. Once the first set of four is completed, the other four party members will be marked.
Unmarked AOEs will appear under a player about 80% of the way through the cast bar. Players should continue moving until the AOE is visible, and avoid touching the AOEs until they disappear. Many players refer to this as “Twister.”
The Fury’s Bolt version of this ability produces a small doughnut AOE around each player. Players can stack up to avoid overlapping each other, or spread far away from each other. Do not move until the AOE has fully resolved, as it lingers on the ground and can kill players.
Ramuh gains fourteen stacks of Fury’s Bolt. The next Stratosphere Summons will produce fourteen gungnirs.
Ramuh will charge down the middle of the arena north-south.
- All players must have at least one stack of {!Surge Protection}.
- A tank must stand in front of him and press the Duty Action: Stand Firm. No further actions can be pressed or the duty action will cancel. Tanks also need to mitigate this high damage hit. The tank will then get knocked back by Ramuh.
- All other players will get knocked back from the middle of the arena towards the east or west edges. The seven other players need to be knocked through a staff on the safe side to destroy it.
Chain Lightning will apply 8 stacks of the Electrified debuff to both healers. The debuff will execute a small AOE around the player, and then jump like static electricity to the player closest to the first. Each jump will remove one stack of Electrified. Once the debuff jumps, the previous player will have the System Shock debuff and not be able to grab the Electrified debuff again for a short period of time. Players should pass the debuff to 3 to 4 players until all stacks are resolved. Each jump deals moderate magical damage.
